Improper chewing?

There must be something wrong with the way I chew. It's the only explanation. I had a crown put on my back molar a year and a half ago, it fell out and I had to get it replaced (#2) then it fell out and again so I went to a different dentist and had it replaced again (#3), all within a couple months. So at least this crown lasted awhile, but I thought these things are suppose to be permanent fixtures? They're not. I went to floss my teeth last night and noticed a chunk of the crown had chipped off. So now I'm getting crown #4 on this tooth. The other times I at least noticed it fall off while I was eating. Not this time, I apparently ate it. I don't think it can make it's way into the placenta, and I really hope not too, because I don't think consuming metal is good for a baby. I know they always give instructions at the dentist office on how to brush, but maybe this time they can teach me how to chew without loosing teeth.

Wow. Maybe you just have really slippery teeth. Or maybe you just go to really bad dentists. Hmm... I have a crown that I got when I was 7 years old, and it is still holding strong. Good luck!

Maybe it's time to just pull the tooth and make a new one

I hate my crown. I'm always worried it's going to pop off when I floss. And the whole root canal-crown process was very painful for me. good luck, I never found a dentist in Provo i really liked.

We really liked Cougar Dental. Plus, they have an atrium in their waiting room. If you like them for no other reason, having birds flying around in your waiting room is a good one!
