I don't know why these great elastic waist pants are restricted to pajamas, maternity pants and 3 year olds. I think the thick elastic waists are so comfortable and much simpler to fit to various shapes then trying to get pants/jeans that zip up to just the right size over various size hips. If I was in the fashion industry I would introduce the maternity pants style into everyday lines of clothing. (just don't wear them with a shirt tucked in, as shown in the picture above) There are already so many styles of shirts that are in fashion now that used to be considered "maternity styles". I bet some lady just liked her maternity clothes and wanted them to be in fashion to wear whenever she wanted. And I say, the more the maternity and normal clothes merge, the better. Those maternity sections are small - if the store even has one. So if you're not pregnant, nor planning to be anytime soon, don't think that you are excluded from the maternity section, there are great pants for everyone.

I absolutely agree! I have a pair of pants like that that are almost worn out since I wore them from the very beginning of pregnancy well through the post-partum time. There is nothing more comfy on a tender baby-belly than those soft waistbands!
