The Name Game

As I've mentioned before, Brandon and I don't agree on names. We've started a new game where we take turns picking a name for the baby and that's what we call him for the week. Hopefully it will help us like some names more and other names less so we can agree on something in the next 4 months. Otherwise we might have to resort to another game, like writing our favorites down on little pieces of paper and pulling one out of a hat.

It can be so tough to pick a name! WE had a really hard time with Lucas!

Our friends had the same issue. They resorted to picking letters out of a hat and creating a name out of that. They picked seven letters and made as may names as they could out of those letters and then picked their favorite. They've done it for all four kids- Rowan, Saxton, Abrahm, and Jake. Just another idea for you

Literature is always a great source for names. You've got hundreds even thousands of years of name ideas to pick from. Maybe you could find a name in one of your favorite books?

Tim and I were the same way...with both boys...we had a list of names (well I did) and he mostly vetoed them then he started looking through a baby name book and said how about this one...it was already on the list! So I just let him think he thought of it himself and that's our first boys name :)

Why only while you are pregnant? Call the baby a different name after it's born. Just tell people you really like nicknames. When they ask what the real name is, just smile and say, "oh, YOU know!"

Is it a boy or girl? I vote for the name Starla for a girl or Starlo for a boy.

He's a boy. Starlo, huh? I don't know how that didn't make it on our list already. Same with Casio 9000.
