You get what you pay for

We've recently bought some things for our new apartment. We've gone the used route that works well with our budget. The TV we bought was $25, a nice large 25", seemed like a great deal. However, 2 problems- we have to buy a converter cord to hook up our dvd player and it is a pretty blurry picture. Now we'll have even more to look forward to when we upgrade to an HD in ten years.
We bought a washer and dryer for $50/each. Another great deal, however, Brandon had to show forth his handyman expertise and put a new electrical cord on the dryer so it would fit into the wall. A hassle, but now it is functioning. Not ideal appliances, but they work. Hopefully they will last the next year and a half for us.
So far, I am most content with our microwave. Probably because it is only a year old, but microwaves are cheap, so we got it for $20.
Now our apartment is completely stocked and ready for watching cable, doing laundry, and eating leftovers.

I thought we gave you guys a microwave before your wedding? Did Brandon break that too? :)
I sure hope you have held on to the family heirloom Jazz lamp as well-- it will look great in the baby's room-- boy or girl ;)

Dad said he thinks they gave that microwave away. Who knows.

You best upgrade that TV set sooner than 10 years. Analog TV transmissions go dark next February!
