Gamer Addition

I would like to add that in addition to being a tough negotiator in games, I try to apply that skill to my illustration business whenever applicable. I was just thinking about this today as I emailed back and forth with an art director to make sure I am getting the best deal that I can out of them.
Selling originals can be different though. I was pricing my pieces for the show next week and it doesn't work the same when you are not talking to a person about the deal. You just have to hope that they like what they see and go for it, no negotiating. And in addition to the amount you feel your painting is worth you have to take into account the cost of framing, and the amount taken out by the exhibitors, it's tricky. I've only had originals for sale at a show one other time, but I must not have done too bad of a job because I sold half of my pieces. (well, one to be exact)
