Me being pro

I'm feeling really cool as an illustrator this week. Not only do I get to do the book signing stuff, but a cute little 12 year old is job shadowing me on Wednesday. I just know I'm going to bore her trying to tell her way too much about fun things like contracts and stretching paper.

A 12 year old is job shadowing you? I didn't even know what that meant when I was 12. Was I even wearing a training bra? I doubt it. Wow, props to any kid that thinks they know what they want to be at age 12.

Maybe I should be the one that shows her how to stretch paper.

how can any job look like fun when you're 12? Who wants to be sure of a job at that age anyway? You should make it as boring as possible. It will make her life more exciting with its lack of direction. You would really be doing her a favor.

I don't think she came over because she is an over achiever - she gets out of school for it. Wouldn't that have been nice?
