Running Dilemma

Almost a month ago I had a horrible 7 mile run in my half marathon training (Aug. 11th) and I haven't been the same since. My foot is really messed up. I'm guessing it's another neuroma, like what I had surgery on 2 years ago, because it hurts in the exact same spot. lame. If I run over 5 miles it is just torture. It would be so sad to give up on the race, but what can I do? Walk the rest of the race? I guess the 60 year olds always seem to pass me anyways. Maybe I could sneak in some roller blades?

don't worry becca, you'll probably finish before me, i have been running once this week. and race day is rapidly approaching. have you tried running for 8 minutes and walking for 1-2? that might help.

Maybe they have a special neuroma category and you could still win the race by walking?
Sad story though. I hope you feel better! After 9 miles my knees KILL me.

I'm running 22 tomorrow- after that, everything hurts. Injuries are so tough. Good luck. Maybe if you take some time off you'll feel better.
