D.C. here we come!

For graduation I was going to surprise Brandon by taking him to NY, which would have been awesome. However, it worked out to be cheaper and easier for us to go to DC and we are so excited! We have a 3 1/2 hour lay over in NY though, so I think that will give us enough time to ride on the subway, eat a slice of pizza, and maybe even snap a quick picture or two. If you only had time for one stop in NY, and it was even during rush hour, and you had a baby, where would you go? And would you bring a stroller?

*trip update*
Actually, it turns out we are going to have a whole day in NY after all. We won't get to see everything, but enough. I can't wait!

Miles and I were in NYC last year at this very time. I was 30 weeks pregnant. I think our favorite things were the Met, Liberty, Empire State Building, and Times Square. Given your time constraints I might think just walking around Times Square and Rockefeller Center might be fun. They best thing about NYC is that you can get pretty much everywhere on foot! And yes, I would suggest a stroller if you're gonna do all that walkin' : )

I think it depends on what airport your layover is at...and what the traffic is like, if there's no traffic you might be able to see something, but I noticed that time goes by really fast there! It's nice just to walk through the park and see all the places where movies are filmed.

LeAnn and I went to NY when Autumn was a baby. I was changing her diaper and she had a blowout all over my pants! She cleaned up nicely, but I had my own poopy pants all day...

That sounds AWESOME! I love central park. Its just so weird to have all the trees in the middle of tons of buildings. Be careful a three hour lay over will go quickly, think about having to go back through security. Washington has some great stuff to see also. Have a ton of fun!

Christian and I loved our trip to DC. We just got back. Just a heads up if you are planning to go to the Holocaust Museum, get your tickets on-line for the day that you want attend and plan to stand in line for at least 20 minutes to 30 minutes before you enter the building. You can get them at tickets.com or call 800-400-9373.
I hope you enjoy, we loved every minute of the trip.

I would go to the place that is the closest because I agree that the time will go by fast. I would bring a stroller for sure. I am VERY jelous.

I wouldn't bring a stroller. I watched people getting on and off the subway and if they had a stroller - during rush hour - there wasn't enough room for them. It was the people holding their babies that had room.

One stop? Oh goodness. Ride the subway. Eat a black and white cookie. Bring cash. No one accepts debit cards.

Stroller was an absolute yes for us. But if you guys can still keep your little guy in a bjorn or something, then that's probably easier. strollers really took the load off with the baby and bags, etc, except for the stairs on the subways that didn't have working elevators.

Have lots of fun!
